Perspectives on bioeconomy policies

Abstract

This chapter focuses on the landscape of current bioeconomy policies in Europe, the Americas and Africa; the European Bioeconomy Strategy, the United States’ Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation for a Sustainable, Safe, and Secure American Bioeconomy, Latin America and the Caribbean's bioeconomy strategies and East African bioeconomy strategies. The chapter provides insights to the role of bioeconomy in sustainable economic growth and identify potential areas for international collaboration.
